I was extremely disappointed with the performance of the guardian ad litem assigned to my case. While she was polite and kind in her communication, she failed to carry out basic professional duties, such as conducting home visits, unless we specifically requested them. Her response time was often slow, and we frequently had to follow up with emails or phone calls just to get updates or information that had already been shared with the other party, simply because the other party often displayed more emotion, fallacious suspicions, and discomfort throughout the process. She did not conduct thorough or proper interviews, leading to inaccurate and misleading information being presented in court. Key details from those interviews were disregarded, resulting in a biased and incomplete understanding of the case. Unfortunately, her lack of professionalism and objectivity impacted the fairness of the proceedings.
