it has been at least 5 years since I was able to rid my self of this horrible nightmare of an attorney. I am so sorry I didn't post something sooner as perhaps I could have saved some others grief and lots of money. He just kept adding to billable hours for work that was never done or completed. Please trust I did not have the resources to pay him but he still managed to squeeze about $100,000.00 from me over 5 terrible years. I recommend you do your research before working with him

Be very careful with this lawyer! he has no integrity! he will drain all of your money until there's none left. I should've believed the reviews I read about Atty. Douglas Smith. it will be the biggest mistake of your entire life when you hire him so BEWARE.

Went for a free half hour. A week later started getting huge Bill's demanding I pay him. I never asked him to do those things. He caused problems and threats until I saw a real lawyer when wrote him a letter and reported him to the state.
