Founded in 1962 by Howell V. Bellamy, Jr., the firm provides comprehensive legal services, including civil trial work, personal injury, real estate, development, taxation, corporation, banking, domestic, insurance, construction and employment law.
After a frustrating experience with a Charleston trust attorney, we engaged Phillip to create our trusts and associated documents. We found him to be very intelligent with lots of common sense and competency in estate planning and taxation. He is good at explaining complex things in a way that is easy to understand. Phillip is extremely responsive and easy to deal with. He has earned our total confidence and we highly recommend him.

Douglas Zayeciek doesn't care or look after his clients at all. I agree with previous review. Douglas Zayeciek is a crooked Attorney so is his client David Levy. Doug wanted to win Horry County Master In Equity seat so he can help his client David Levy. I highly urge and recommend Federal Authorities to loo in to these 2 shady and crooked individuals.
I sent a message through their portal with a brief message. A neighbor violated the CR's causing damage to my property. It has been over two years and it has not been resolved yet. I wanted to discuss to protect my interest. I also wanted to discuss the possibility of suing my neighbor for me being unable to fully enjoy my property. In another matter, I wanted to see if I could sue the HOA board. I received a phone call and was told that they do this kind of work, but before we got into details they needed to know who all the parties were in case of a conflict on interest. The quick check showed no conflict, but they needed to run a 24 hour check. Fine, just let me know if you can represent me or do I need to find another lawyer. This was Monday and I was told that they would call back Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday comes and goes, nothing. Wednesday, nothing. Thursday and Friday I call and left message, nothing. If they can't represent me fine, just call me and let me know.
In the 90's I felt Doug worked very hard for his clients, even if it meant going to court or even arguing on appeal at the SC Supreme Court. I hired him in 2019 for 4 cases. He managed to sidestepped me on all 4. When we got to the end of the 4th case he grew irritated. I mentioned Luke Rankin and the heartbeat bill, and reading that Doug wanted the Master in Equity position. I have no idea how, but somehow he got the feeling that I thought I had the power to get Luke to endorse him in exchange for his legal services. I don't know Luke that well even if I wanted him to endorse Doug. He said I wasn't paying. I had just given him $4,300 leaving under $2000 owed him on the case. I would have paid that prior to the end of the case which was soon. I still have the email that he twisted to say I wanted him to exchange his fees for Lukes endorsement. The email he was referring to which I still have said nothing of a kind. He withdrew from my case at the end, so no other atty would take it.
What a joke?! I walked in and left after 5 minutes. They were very rude and inconsiderate. Don't waste your time or money.
