Kevin J. Anderson is an Attorney in our Charleston, South Carolina office. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice, long-term care and nursing home negligence, professional negligence, and a wide range of general liability matters.
Prior to joining Morgan & Morgan, Kevin spent several years working for a premier national insurance defense firm. Insurance companies hired him to defend individuals, doctors, and health care facilities in cases involving medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and premises liability cases. Throughout this time period, he gained insight into the operations and strategies of insurance companies, as well as first-hand experience in the strategies used by defense attorneys. Prior to that, Kevin served as a student attorney at the University of South Carolina School of Law's Veterans Legal Clinic, where he served as legal counsel for indigent veterans to assist them on Veterans Administration benefits disputes, consumer debt protection matters, child custody and child support issues, and civil litigation. Today, Kevin uses his knowledge of the insurance industry and their defense techniques to help ensure his clients receive the best representation possible.
Prior to law school, Kevin worked at multinational industrial conglomerate Atlas Copco and one of America’s largest coal mining companies, Alpha Natural Resources.
Kevin earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, and Bachelor of Arts degrees in public relations and political science from Virginia Tech. He was raised in rural southwest Virginia along the Appalachian Trail, and enjoys hunting and fishing.
