Hired Attorney

I hired John Cowherd to help me with a subpoena. He charged me a one time fee of $1500. to handle the case. He seemed very knowledgeable and offered good advice but this has been dragging on for months now and I haven't heard anything from him in over a month except to have received two invoices from him for additional fees that I was not aware of when I initially hired him. I expected more from him and I guess that's my fault.

Hired Attorney

I won my case, however, he advised me to settle rather than go to jury trial. He said settlement could go lower of I did that. I did not agree with settlement amount but he convinced me to take it. After I agreed and signed papers found out he was friend of person who was responsible for my injury. I feel that is a violation of professional ethics.
