Evan Williams is a staff attorney working in Nexsen Pruet's Charleston office.
Evan's current focus is on multi-district litigation involving mass tort, toxic tort, and personal injury cases. His clients are individuals and businesses affected by large petroleum spills.
Before joining Nexsen Pruet, Evan worked at a Charleston law firm where he handled all aspects of evaluating and resolving personal injury cases.
Prior to completing law school, Evan worked as a legal clerk in Indianapolis for an intellectual property and estate management corporation. His work there included drafting and negotiating licensing and settlement agreements regarding clients' intellectual property rights; researching and briefing legal issues pertaining to probate and non-probate matters, and estate valuation; and managing client intellectual property rights including trademarks, rights of publicity and copyrights. While in law school, Evan was an Associate Editor of the University of Illinois Law Review, and a commissioner of the law school's softball league.
In his spare time, Evan enjoys the outdoors, University of Louisville sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Outside Nexsen Pruet
Evan is a sports enthusiast and particularly enjoys baseball and college basketball. You can usually catch him cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Louisville Cardinals. As a former college athlete, Evan enjoys playing in slow pitch softball leagues and exploring the outdoors to stay active. While in college, Evan worked as a news and sports anchor, where he interviewed coaches, players, and edited game highlights, which utilized his love for sports statistics and analysis.
