Mr. Carlson’s practice concentrates on the defense of New Jersey and Pennsylvania personal injury matters on behalf of insurance companies, public entities, self-insured entities and third-party administrators in the fields of premises liability, transportation law, and construction claims. He has also handled commercial, insurance coverage, fire loss, trucking accident, Dram Shop, subrogation and first party “Personal Injury Protection ” (PIP) matters, as well as Hazmat rapid response services to trucking accidents.
Mr. Carlson is a Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Civil Trial Attorney. This designation, held by less than 3% of New Jersey attorneys, requires a rigorous application process demonstrating trial experience, peer and judicial references, passage of a written examination, and continuing legal education, with re-certification required every five years.
Mr. Carlson is a member of both the New Jersey and Pennsylvania bars. He has handled matters in all of New Jersey’s 21 counties, Philadelphia, Court of Common Pleas, and in each Federal vicinage.
Mr. Carlson has periodically presented both written and oral seminars to clients and industry organizations on topics and recent developments in case law in many of these practice areas.
