Paid a huge retainer fee $5,000. Never received a bill or itemized statement from him and nothing was returned. Very upset that we hired him based on recommendation of another attorney. He stated he was going to resolve our case and made statements that we would be happy with the outcome. He did absolutely nothing for us. Would not ever recommend to anyone. Made promises to do many things but nothing was done. Kept baiting us along.
DO NOT HIRE. I felt like he brought nothing to the table knowledge wise. It seemed like every time we met it was a repeat of everything we talked about last time. Which was not productive. Then getting a hold of him was very difficult, with long wait time for simple responses. I had a friend go through an issue with a different lawyer and it look 6 months to either settle or go to court, which was far from my experience with Mr. Swid. Also require in your contract that all communication must be made via e-mail. As he claimed to have sent me a letter(which I never received), which he didn't send also via e-mail when all my previous letters were sent via e-mail also.
Swidd Law is a TOTAL rip off !!!! Wanted a HUGE retainer up front and did absolutely NOTHING.... Avoid at all cost... Once they get your money you are pretty much just showed the door!!!
