David R. Duringer is an attorney admitted to practice law in multiple states, including California since 1989, Washington since 1997, and Texas since 2022. He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court bar and other federal courts including the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States District Court, Central District of California. He is a member of the Trust & Estate Section of the State Bar of California. He has been a member of WealthCounsel since 2010 and served as Forum Leader for WealthCounsel’s Southern California Forum in 2012-2013. Duringer is known among colleagues for expertise in drafting comprehensive estate plans, including complex gun trusts.
Like many estate planning attorneys, he is a licensed Notary Public and has also been licensed as a California Real Estate Broker since 1995.
A dedicated educator and contributor to the legal community, Duringer has instructed peers in trusts, tax, and estate planning. He is also contributing author to WealthCounsel’s renowned Estate Planning Strategies book, now in its second edition. He conducts regular estate planning training sessions for financial advisors, insurance professionals, and the public, at his office, on the web, and at remote locations.
As a firearm instructor since 2004, he has taught NRA Pistol courses as well as the statutory courses required for Utah’s nonresident Concealed Firearm Permit and California’s License to Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW). He is a Distinguished Graduate of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute. He continues to offer free concealed carry training to fellow attorneys, financial advisors, clients, and members of the public, through regular handgun clinics held at his office and at remote locations.
