About Jane Ellen Doran, Esq.

Jane Ellen Doran joined the firm as a Partner in 2020, having practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law for over 35 years.

Experienced in all aspects of divorce litigation, including complex valuation and distribution issues of businesses and professional practices, executive benefits, alimony, child support and contested custody issues, she has an extensive history of negotiating premarital agreements, marital agreements, and post judgment issues.

For the last 20 years, Ms. Doran has maintained an AV pre-eminent rating by Martindale Hubbell, the highest possible rating for both legal ability and ethical standards. She has been named as a Super Lawyer in the State of New Jersey beginning in 2006 through and including 2021.

Ms. Doran served as a Trustee of the Morris County Bar Foundation and was appointed to the District X Ethics Committee in Morris County. She served as a Master of the Central New Jersey Inns of Court.

Ms. Doran is a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Family Law Section; the Morris County Bar Association Family Law Section (Former Chair), and the New York State Bar Association.

Hired Attorney Jane Ellen Doran, Esq.

From the moment I sat with Jane Ellen, we clicked! Not only is she extemely educated in her field, but she was always available when I needed her. She provided me with excellent counceling during a very difficult time. She was compassionate, thorough and patient with the many changes I presented. She explained things to me so they made sense rather than simply using "lawyer terms". I would highly recommend Jane Ellen and endorse her practice 150%.

Hired Attorney Jane Ellen Doran, Esq.

Jane Ellen Doran was referred to me by a friend who had gone through her own divorce years ago. I met with her when I was seeking a lawyer for my divorce and was immediately impressed with her acumen, savvy advice and professionalism. She was patient with me and made an otherwise horrid experience just a bit easier and less anxiety producing. I have since recommended her to other friends who were seeking a lawyer for other issues.

Hired Attorney Jane Ellen Doran, Esq.

You would think her aggressiveness will help you, but through out the divorce, I felt bullied and intimidated by her. I do not believe she fought for my rights and I don't recall her ever coming to court with me. I almost had to foreclose on my home. I had to borrow money from my only retirement account and take loans to pay her bill of approx $92,000! What should have been a very simple cut and dry divorce settlement, turned into a fiasco with her being the only winner.
