The Law Firm of Mooty & Associates, P.C. was established in 1994 by Attorney H. Dean Mooty, Jr. who had spent many years as a shareholder in a large Montgomery business firm. The firm is engaged primarily in the areas of civil litigation including substantial commitments to environmental litigation, employment law, insurance defense including products liability, workers' compensation, bodily injury and property and casualty. The firm also is involved extensively in corporate law including commercial transactions. The firm has a strong emphasis in the gasoline and motor fuel industry both at the wholesale and retail levels. Mr. Mooty is widely recognized as an expert in the gasoline and motor fuel industry in Alabama. The firm practices in all state and federal courts in Alabama. Mr. Mooty is joined by three attorneys, Paul Telehany, David Ray and John Searcy, along with an experienced support staff, all of whom have been with the firm for over 10 years.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
