1986 graduate of The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina, where he obtained a B.S. in Business Administration. Thereafter, he worked as a claims and marketing representative for a professional liability insurer in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. Cohan graduated from Cumberland School of Law, obtaining his J.D. degree in 1993 and has since practiced throughout the State of Alabama. Mr. Cohan represents governmental entities, corporations, insurance companies and their insureds in a variety of legal interests, including workers' compensation, retaliatory discharge, personal injury, contract litigation, products liability, bad faith and fraud. Mr. Cohan has acted as General Counsel for several housing authorities for several years. His practice includes state and federal courts in Alabama and Georgia. He is admitted to the Alabama and Georgia Bar as well as all Federal District Courts in Alabama and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Cohan has also been appointed Special Judge of Probate, Montgomery County, Alabama. Mr. Cohan serves in the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General's Corps, currently assigned to the 213th LSO. Mr. Cohan lives in Montgomery, with his wife, Shelby, and their son, Adams, and daughter, Sara Pierce.
