About Mr. J. Mark Cowell

Mark Cowell is an associate practicing primarily in the area of civil defense litigation and tax litigation. Mark obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Auburn University and obtained his degree of Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. While at Cumberland, Mark held various leadership roles including serving as an Associate Justice of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board and as a Member of the National Moot Court Team.

Mark regularly represents clients in both State and Federal Court. He is admitted to practice in Alabama State Courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. Mark is also admitted to the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
