About Mark Wakenight

Mark T. Wakenight, founder of Wakenight & Associates, P.C., has dedicated his career to divorce and family law. After earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1988, Mark returned to Chicago and gained extensive experience across various legal fields, including bankruptcy, criminal defense, personal injury, and real estate. In 2002, he established Wakenight & Associates, P.C., focusing exclusively on family law to better serve clients navigating divorce, child custody, and other domestic relations matters.

Mark’s firmly held commitment and dedication to family law is essential to providing exceptional legal representation. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a collaborative team of attorneys who share his dedication to helping clients through life’s most challenging transitions. Mark has also been certified to represent children in custody cases by the Honorable Judge Moshe Jacobius, a role he held until 2013 to focus on managing his firm.
