Vaughan Drinkard, Jr., a native of Mobile, Alabama, is a highly accomplished attorney and the founding partner of the prestigious law firm, Drinkard & Barber, P.C. With a primary focus on trusts, estates, and probate, he has built a stellar reputation in his field. Mr. Drinkard obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Springhill College in 1973 and went on to graduate cum laude with a Juris Doctorate from Birmingham School of Law in 1977. He commenced his legal career in Alabama the same year.
Even during his second year as a law student, Mr. Drinkard demonstrated his expertise by crafting his first trust for his grandfather, who desired to circumvent probate court. Since that initial trust document, he has successfully prepared numerous trusts for clients throughout Alabama. His clients not only seek to avoid the burdensome probate court process but also strive to leverage the various advantages of the revocable living trust. While Mr. Drinkard relishes the challenge and intricacies of estate planning for affluent individuals, he possesses an equal passion for assisting hard-working families in establishing trusts to secure the welfare of themselves and their loved ones.
In 1972, Mr. Drinkard married Linda Roan, and together they have been blessed with two daughters and five grandchildren. He remains actively involved in his church, as well as various legal and civic organizations. Beyond his legal prowess, Mr. Drinkard is a certified Master Gardener, known for his remarkable skills in horticulture. He single-handedly designed and established a local community garden, where he frequently conducts seminars on diverse topics, including grafting and other subjects of horticultural interest.
