Deakle, Sholtis & Hamil, L.L.C. is a firm built on a foundation of long-standing friendship and a shared mission to protect the people of the Gulf South. Founders Mark Deakle and Jonathan Sholtis first met as undergraduates at the University of Southern Mississippi in 1990. After pursuing their law degrees—Mark at the Jones School of Law and Jonathan at Ole Miss—they reunited in Mobile. Along the way, Mark teamed up with fellow law student Jubal Hamil, and in 1999, the three joined forces to form DSH. For over 25 years, they have been dedicated to representing injury victims across Alabama and Mississippi. Their goal has always been simple: to achieve the best possible outcomes for their clients through hard work and seasoned advocacy. They understand the challenges that working people face after an accident, and they use their collective experience to level the playing field against powerful interests. When you work with DSH, you aren’t just getting a lawyer; you’re getting a team that has spent decades fighting for the rights of their neighbors. The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.
