I hired Ms. Learmonth to stop my ex from taking my son with her to another state. I knew it was going to be a tough battle, but Ms. Learmonth came through for me. She was very professional throughout the process. I engaged her services again a couple of years later to gain full custody of my son and to secure child support for him as well. I made it clear that I didn’t want a long, drawn out legal fight with the ex, and she was able to get the deal done with minimal cost. I would definitely recommend Ms. Learmonth.
First of all I'm not sure if "Won My Case!" actually applies in a divorce situation -- how does anyone "win" in a divorce? I would say that if you want to "WIN' something outside of what Minnesota has in mind, maybe act as your own attorney! That said... Ms. Learmonth rode a wild bucking horse (me) through a two-plus year rodeo of emotional disequilibrium and achieved closure within the constraints of Minnesota law. My heart still says an adulterer should "pay" for lying and cheating but my head says "let it go". There was A LOT of listening done by Ms. Learmonth, way more than most attorneys have patience for. There was a LOT of sorting (this is relevant and that is not). Papers and emails.. She did that reading. AND emotional support; I needed to be told repeatedly, "you are not loosing your mind". She had to prepare for a failed arbitration whereby I was asked to give away a part of what was mine. (NO WAY.) Laurel's skill set lands her name at the top of my HERO column!
Had unusually difficult party on the other side who has mental health issues. She was patient and kept with the case.
I hired Ms. Laurel Learmonth in mid September 2019! I didn’t have a chance to check her background! I was served with divorce papers And she was a referral. And also my first time Getting a divorce! Everything was coming at me So fast I had no time to check the background! I have to say I gave her more than 10k and don’t know who she was working for? Me or Moran husband and His so called attorney?! What she did to me? Yelling, yelling, complaining to me about me, even though I canceled the appointment from the beginning and again the fri before when all of us were supposed to go to a meeting!! That day which was a wed she called me and I was shocked the way she was screaming at me! That was my last straw! Fired Ms. Learmonth! Even though she looked at my past emails, texts and apologized!! Too late!! Please when someone with absolutely no experience no matter what check your attorneys first !! Horrible horrible experience with Ms. Laurel Learmonth!!
