Louise manages complex civil motions and appeals in Minnesota state and federal courts with diligence, thoroughness, and integrity. She addresses a broad spectrum of civil matters, including construction defect, contractual indemnification, employment discrimination, insurance coverage, premises liability, personal injury, products liability, and sex abuse.
She is an active participant in the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, serving as Chair of the Amicus Curiae Committee. In recognition of her leadership, Louise received the 2022 “Presidents Award” from the Association for her valuable contributions to the defense bar.
Louise also holds membership and chairs the Bar Memorial Committee of the Hennepin County Bar Association, which organizes an annual session of the Hennepin County District Court to honor attorneys who have recently passed away, to recognize their years of service as well as their contributions to the Bar in Hennepin County.
Louise is frequently invited to speak at legal seminars and conferences. She has delivered presentations on appellate practice, civil litigation trends, and amicus advocacy to audiences of attorneys and law students.
Most recently Louise was scheduled as a panelist for the “Amici Advocacy: Best Practice Tips” program at the 2026 Minnesota CLE Appellate Practice Institute, joining Minnesota Supreme Court Justice Theodora Gaiitas and Commissioner Timothy Droske.
As a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Louise served six years on the governing council of the Appellate Practice Section, lecturing at seminars on appellate issues and contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of practicelaw.org, which provides resources for practitioners.
For more than a decade, she taught Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct professor at Mitchell Hamline College of Law, where she instructed law students on the nuts and bolts of researching, writing and arguing appeals as well as in the practicalities of being an effective, principled and persuasive advocate.
Louise has also been involved in the MSBA’s Wills for Heroes program, drafting wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives for Minnesota police officers and fire fighters.
