Working with Katy Lizdas was a great experience! She was very knowledgeable and did a great job working on my social security disability case. You couldn't ask for a better lawyer to have on your side.
I made the mistake of hiring an attorney from a very popular television commercial advertisement for my FIRST rodeo in the Disability Ring. A strange Attorney shows up to my ALJ hearing and after completely representing myself (without exaggeration, this Attorney said, at most three words), I lost my case. Already having been burned the first time around, I applied again as my conditions deteriorated and years of waiting drifted by of denials until “it” happened. My case was going before another ALJ...and I needed an attorney. I did the only thing I could think of. I began researching as you are now. Somehow the stars aligned for me and I had the absolute pleasure of not only meeting, but working closely with Attorney Lizdas while she spun gold out out of my years of “hay”. Knowledgeable, professional, polite yet never misleading - my hearing concluded today and regardless of the result, though I haven’t felt such hope in years - Attorney Lizdas is a FORCE!!
Mrs. Lizdas is the best Disability attorney in the State of Wisconsin. From the time I hired her up to my disability hearing and after my hearing, she kept me in the loop on everything, prepped me for my hearing, told me what to expect and how the questioning would work. She is so worth the money to the point that we got my favorable decision on the same day as the hearing for the Administrative Law Judge.
I have been working on getting disability for the past couple years. I had help from a local group to get me started in the right direction. I got denied the first 2 times. I need to get an attorney i saw she had good reviews i called and sent my paperwork in and she took the case. Its the week of my hearing she calls and leaves me a message saying if i have any questions before hand to call. I tried calling the whole week and never heard back from her till the day of hearing in the hearing. Everything starts off questions and when it comes to my attorney it sounds like she is still in bed. So he ask her some questions and i can barely understand let alone hear her and the judge has to ask a few times to speak up and turn it off speaker. I get the report back from my hearing and she didn't really do anything to help my case beside what she said in court. So i strongly encourage you to do your research before finding a good atty.
