I retained this firm to represent me in an HOA dispute in Florida and spent several thousand dollars in legal fees. Based on my experience, I was very dissatisfied with the value received relative to the cost. Before mediation, I provided a detailed analysis, including relevant Florida case law. However, I did not observe meaningful engagement with opposing counsel prior to mediation, which was later confirmed during the session. During mediation, I expected my attorney to lead and advocate on my behalf. I had been advised not to speak, yet much of the discussion was directed to me. When a statement was made suggesting I caused a city violation, which I believe to be inaccurate, I did not observe my attorney challenge or clarify it. While invoices reflected activity, much of it appeared to involve emails and coordination that, in my opinion, did not meaningfully advance my position. Overall, the level of advocacy and value did not align with the fees incurred.

I hired Fernando Prego and Yenifer Yermoso for a condo case, and it was one of the most frustrating, unproductive legal experiences I’ve ever had. I asked detailed questions during my consult; Yenifer said she’d get back to me, then disappeared for 2 weeks and finally replied with the same generic advice from day one—clearly forgetting everything I asked. Fernando only became responsive when defending himself, emailing me in a scolding tone before even understanding the situation. After I explained everything again, he admitted he finally understood and gave a late apology. They completely failed to notice a major amendment in the governing documents—central to my case—which I had to point out. Even after I sent it, they gave incorrect advice, proving they hadn't read it. Despite zero progress, they charged me $2900 for useless, generic emails. After firing them, I even had to chase them for weeks to get a small portion of my refund. Avoid this firm.
