I recently had a case against a Forturne 500 company and was referred to Jeffrey Gutchess. I set up an appointment to discuss my issues and felt that he was the right attorney to assist me with my case. The case began, the summons was filed, and then unfortunately that was the last time I ever spoke with or heard from him again. Next thing I know, Attorney Gutchess passed my case off to another attorney in his firm. No phone call, no email, no discussion, nothing. I was shocked that I hired a lawyer who took my money and proceeded to stop working on my case without even having a conversation with me about it first! Just a disgusting betrayal to me. The case proceeded and ultimately ended with a satisfactory result. Still not a word from Jeffrey Gutchess. To add insult to injury, his firm sent me back the balance of my retainer I had sent them and the check bounced. It is now 10 days later and I have still not received the money back! I would be very wary hiring Jeffrey Gutchess.
