After graduating and passing the Florida Bar, Brett began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where he handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases — including DUI, domestic violence, battery, drug offenses, theft, aggravated assault/battery, robbery, sexual battery, juvenile cases, and probation violations — and tried hundreds of matters to verdict in both County and Circuit Courts. Throughout his career, he has been appointed to serve on a Florida Bar Grievance Committee for three consecutive years, reflecting his professionalism and ethical reputation.
