Attorney Jesus La Rosa, a native of Cuba and a Miami-raised professional, commenced his legal journey with distinction at the University of Iowa, College of Law, supported by a full-tuition scholarship. During his tenure at Iowa Law, Mr. La Rosa showcased his legal prowess by earning the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in Legal Analysis, Writing and Research I, recognizing his outstanding memo among peers. He further distinguished himself as the Associate Editor for the school’s journal on Transnational Law and Contemporary Problems, an international and comparative law journal.
Beyond his focus on immigration law, Mr. La Rosa extended his legal interests to corporate and business law, taking on additional business-law related courses. His exemplary performance led to an early role as a Law Clerk for Principal Financial Group, a Fortune 250 company. In this capacity, he successfully handled diverse projects in commercial litigation, governance, compliance, pensions and IRAs, real estate, securities, trusts, insurance, and international commercial contracts.
In his private practice, Attorney La Rosa remains dedicated to supporting start-ups.
