I used this firm after a recommendation from another attorney. I was very disappointed in the attorney's lack of responsiveness and willingness to keep me apprised of my case. I expected much better considering the premium hourly fee charged by this attorney. I would not recommend this firm to anyone needing representation in a divorce.

She charged us way too much. I made I m not sure but I think 6 trips to Memphis to go over my bank statements with her assistant who left before we went to court. They didn’t even need my bank statements to begin with. She knew nothing but what she was told about me. She didn’t get to know what caused me to react to the way I did. I was treated horribly honestly by my husband but true I did get on drugs but I m sober now. I was so heart broken & needed something to change my feelings but she didn’t take the time to get to know me to defend me. I thought at first my side is finally going to be heard. She didn’t even show up on my court date. We spent over $20,000 on a divorce & I think we got $2000. Why did she take my case if she didn’t care about me? She sent her assistant to court who I had met once before court for like 10 minutes. I had an attorney read the judges notes & he said it was obvious I had NO defense. So sad!

She failed to reply to multiple emails and prepare for a hearing with me. She charged me for reading correspondence from me and opposing Counsel but almost never replied to my or their letters. The experience cost me thousands of dollars before I changed lawyers. My new lawyer, a major Law Firm in Memphis said I was one of many that had had a similar experience and left Dotty (Dorothy) Pounders for the above reasons. Her reputation in the past does not reflect her current performance.

Mrs Coleman is very difficult to get in touch with. She has a no refund retainer. She does the bare minimum. On one occasion she charged me 1/4 an hour for a less than one minute phone call and did the same thing for a two minute call. As my trial date neared I requested an appointment with her and was able to get one at the last minute. At the appointment she gave me a list of things to do with a minimum of time to do it in. She billed me for a letter she sent after I fired her.
