About Chancie Kae Coomer

Chancie Coomer was born and raised in Little Rock. After graduating from Bryant High School, she went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas. She then attended the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock to obtain her juris doctorate.

Coomer was blessed to call the late Stephen Holt a close family friend and mentor throughout her early life. When she began considering a career in law, Holt quickly integrated her into the Rainwater, Holt & Sexton team as an office assistant so she could begin her legal career and education. Coomer held several positions within the firm for several years during and after her undergraduate studies. She then became a law clerk for the firm when she started law school. She credits both her desire to be a lawyer and her significant experience in personal injury to Holt and the many hours of hypothetical case scenarios they discussed and argued about.

Following graduation from law school, Coomer moved to Idaho with her husband, where she practiced civil litigation and tax law. She has been handling personal injury cases in Arkansas since 2020 and returned to Rainwater, Holt & Sexton in 2023.

Coomer understands the pain and frustration injured clients go through after an accident from a personal level. Coomer’s family was struck by a drunk driver in 2003, permanently injuring her father. She vividly recalls the collision itself and the years of physical, emotional, and financial recovery her family had to endure as a result of someone else’s careless behavior. This experience taught her to recognize and advocate for the many pieces of her clients’ lives that can be touched in the aftermath of a collision or other injury.

In her time outside the office, Coomer enjoys spending time outdoors, college football, reading, and cooking with her husband, their daughter, and their three dogs.
