Richard Toscani earned his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in 2007, graduating magna cum laude with a B.B.A., and later received his J.D. from Hofstra’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law in 2010. Licensed in both New York and New Jersey, he built his legal foundation through roles that exposed him to the realities of litigation and the court system from the start. Richard served as a legal intern with the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office in the trial zone, an experience that strengthened his understanding of case preparation and courtroom practice. He later clerked for the Honorable R. Bruce Cozzens Jr. at the Nassau County Supreme Court, where he gained valuable insight into how judges evaluate arguments and evidence. Richard then spent the next five years at a well-regarded litigation defense firm, developing the advocacy and client-service skills that continue to guide his work. He has since opened his own practice as the owner and managing attorney of Toscani Law Firm, P.C., based in Garden City, NY. His work spans criminal defense, personal injury, immigration, real estate, civil litigation, wills and estates, appellate matters, and family law.
