Legal Separation

I was impressed with my personalized experience from start to finish at Livesay & Myers. The divorce process is never easy, but I felt very comfortable with my attorney Ms. Afsous. She was very knowledgeable of divorce law and proceedings, accommodating and very personable, yet professional. My paralegal, Ms Kaur-Sharma was always responsive, kind and meticulous with detail. When I needed to understand the financial benefits that she negotiated for me, Ms. Afsous and Ms. Kaur-Sharma went above & beyond to detail a financial spreadsheet. Ms. Afsous even provided me with eligibility options & details for military spouses. Livesay fought for me and ensured that I received a fair & favorable deal in my divorce. They were on my side and I knew that I was in good hands. My attorney and paralegal were an amazing team!

Shirin represented me through a separation agreement and a no fault divorce. I found her and her paralegal, Gia, to be very responsive, supportive, and professional and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone going through either process. I always felt like I was well represented. She found many ways to improve the separation agreement my ex's lawyer drafted to better protect my interests and very clearly explained the reasoning behind these changes to me. I was particularly impressed with how well Shirin and Gia operated when I first became a client; our first in-person meeting had to be changed to a call at the last minute because covid shutdowns were just starting. As we were all trying to figure out working from home, they did not miss a beat. And while 2020 was a stressful year for many reasons, Shirin made sure that my divorce was as stress-free as possible. I am very grateful for that.

Shirin Afsous was a beacon of hope to my family at a time when our options appeared limited and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution seemed difficult. Not only was she able to present our case justly, but her calm and empathetic demeanor gave my family and I a much needed sense of security. My children and I are eternally grateful for her service and I recommend Ms.Afsous without reservation.
