In addition, Matthew was distinguished as a recipient of the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Health Law and also The American Bankruptcy Law Journal Student Prize.

Matthew is a member of the Akron Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association.

Matthew resides in Cuyahoga Falls with his wife, Kelly and their daughter Annabel Grace.
