Too busy for my case.
Alanna charges her full rate for work her paralegal does(very very illegal) and expects everyone to just fork over the money. She’s rude, all she does is scream her staff in front of clients and it sets a really bad tone. She has worked on a case for myself for over 2 years and I have not heard a peep from her and her staff always has excuses on why she can’t come to the phone.
Over charges, doesn’t do the work. Someone I know hired her and she had that person agree to everything the narcissist in her life wanted and then charged $5000+ for doing absolutely nothing. Now a little boy is living in an alcoholic, emotional abusive environment all because she couldn’t be bothered to do her job. 5 months later this person still hasn’t received the child support they agreed to, and is being charged in addition to the $5000 she has paid. The alcoholic, narcissist still hasn’t gone to the counseling that was agreed to. The mistake was made that she cared about the children in these situations but reality is, it’s all about how little she has to do and the maximum amount of money she can make.
She does not respond to emails or calls & prolongs cases. She charges you her rate when you speak to her staff even when you call to find out the status of the last email/call/issue you contacted her about because she hadn't responded the last 5+ calls. Gave me incorrect advice that cost $1000 in contempt fees. Lied. Overcharged for almost all calls so track every minute! I went through cell bills & found I was getting charged $20 minimum per call & charged for more minutes than it actually was.
I am going to say other reviews are accurate. Alanna is terrible at responding to calls and emails. Office girls are always saying she is unavailable. She was late for the one court date we had in the almost two years it took her to close this case. She draws things out as long as she can to make more money. She is shady and unprofessional. She does not abide by the code of ethics, so if considering her hire someone else.
Seems to be a master of excuses for not getting anything done on cases she accepts. Does not return phone calls or emails, a secretary is always covering for her with something else of an excuse. Went to her in December of 2010 for a small claims issue, and it is now end of July 2011 and nothing is filed. I and a partner did the majority of the fact finding for her.
