Hired Attorney

I consulted Mr. Katz regarding an urgent healthcare related legal on behalf of a family member. He responded very quickly and was available at any time. He went above and beyond to help us even with a consultation, and did not even push to bill for any services. I really appreciate his level of empathy, and although fortunately this issue was resolved and did not progress to the need to hire him, I would consult Mr. Katz again for the his level of professionalism.

Stephen listened to the issue and had an immediate understanding of the situation. He was able to wade through the data and get right to the heart of the matter. This labor issue was resolved in a timely manner. Stephen and the staff at his law firm were easy to work with and responded to all requests and questions about how the case was progressing. I have recommended Stephen to business associates and would seek his counsel again.

Hired Attorney

Dragged the work and failed to complete it. Seemed into the case when we met, then lost interest and wasn't dignified enough to just dismiss us. Instead, he stopped any productive efforts. We couldn't get through to him. Every call was answered by his wife, who filtered us, always gave us her own unprofessional advices (which proved to be contrary to Stephen's), and put us on hold for months. She postponed every action regarding our case in absurd excuses (I forgot/I lost/stuff happened).

Could not communicate directly with him. Had to go through his wife. He did not do any leg work, we had to do it all and yet pay him for what we did. Every meeting was discussing the same things over and over like we never had the conversation. In the end we were asked to answer questions for the EOC, but he had all of our documents to do this and would not return them. So he dropped us, due to not fulfilling out obligations.
