Hired Attorney

Stephen was very thoughtful and sympathetic with my case. Everything was handled in a timely manner. The only issue was that he was late for court in my divorce hearing. The courthouse was across the street. The judge could not get him on the phone and I had to walk across the street to get him. He had been tied up with a client and could not get away.

I felt as if he was unprepared for my case, gave me a false sense of confidence. In the end the only thing I got was sole custody of my children, no child support for 6 kids. I had to go after that myself.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
