I have had legal work done for years. I went to Mr. Coakley for real estate, as his predecessor (retired partner) was my parents' lawyer. I purchased a house and had the final $5k payment for the seller, and simply needed to close. I told him this. It took over 3 months to get in, as he went on vacation, and tended to his farm chores. He was used again as my family's estate attorney, and after a year and a half (as well as a 3% commission/fee) removed himself from the case. Nearly all he told us was going to happen didn't either because he forgot, or in some cases, he was just plain wrong. Poor response, very un-professional, rude, and unknowledgeable assistants/secretaries...STAY AWAY.
