After discussing the type of business to form with him and my CPA, he suggested I file more paperwork and form than my Secretary of State's office required, charged me for the preparation of documents, which were incorrect/incomplete, and I ended up filing my LLC documents electronically from the State website. There was then an issue with my payment to his firm not getting recorded correctly and getting dunned for 2 months while they dealt with the issue.
Even though we discussed not needing certain forms, he prepared them anyway. He also prepared the LLC formation documents manually, even though Massachusetts allows all of it to be done electronically. I actually filed the documents myself and discarded his prepared documents. I was billed, paid within the prescribed period, and then was dunned for 2 months because they misfiled my payment.
