Hired Attorney

Mr Mountain represented me in my divorce back in 2016. I had purchased a house with my ex-wife in 2009 and finished the basement with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. He said "there's no equity in the house" so I didn't get squat. I also wasn't super happy having to buy her out of my business that she didn't help at all with getting going. My oldest son mom (who I was never married to) also decided to give me 50/50 custody so I asked him to draw up the paperwork. She already fully understood what she was signing up for but he said he wanted to meet with her and I. In the meeting, he seemed to try to talk her out of it. Mike is a garbage, bottom shelf attorney who is lazy... I STRONGLY recommend you go elsewhere for family cases!

Hired Attorney

Had Mr. Mountain for a family case and he failed to tell me about a contempt hearing a bench warrant was issued and 2 months later I was arrested at a job I was about to start. The worst part is he said he trued calling me the day before court and in the same sentence said but I seem to recall your phone was down. We never once talked on the phone we ONLY corresponded through email. I can understand forgetting to tell me about court but fir 2 months after the bench warrant he never sent one message letting me know I had a warrant. When I asked him what I should do involving my original case he said quote "I can't tell You what to do". He's a bad lawyer, he's a negligent and ineffective as a representative. DO NOT retain him. Since court I asked one clarifying question and he has failed to respond at all! Because of his terrible communication I landed in jail for 4 days and when I spoke to him he said he would talk to the D A. and have me out in the morning. In the hearing he didn't.
