My fiance was appointed Mr Loyd as his public defender in January 2025, after endless attempts to get in contact with his original appointed PD with absolutely no results and the Prosecuting Attorney head strong on wanting to make a conviction with the punishment 40 to life regardless of the proof on innocence. Mr was appointed his case and from day 1 this man answered every single time we reached out to him, he made contact with Scott when he said he would, and he went to work giving hope throughout the whole process! He went above and beyond to get his case to the judge and went to bat against the Prosecuting Attorney never backing down and standing firm. This man was able to get charges dismissed and scott released. Mr Loyd even made follow up calls to make sure all was well. By far the best representation anyone could ever get. 5 stars!
He did not do anything for my brother except tell him that he will be lucky if he sees the light of day because he's going to prison. The reason he went to prison is because Louis Loyd did NOTHING, I MEAN NOTHING to defend my brother. He is the sorriest lawyer in the country. So if you want to serve prison time then hire him BUT if you don't then find another lawyer or defend yourself because you will have a better chance.
