The measure of a defense lawyer is the diversity of clients who seek his counsel. Bruce Rosen has successfully defended prosecutors and those they charge, bankers and public officials, Senators and average citizens who found themselves in need of a relentless litigator.
In his 45 years of practice, that doggedness has consistently earned him the praise of his clients, judges and prosecutors. As a result, he has been voted one of the Best Criminal Defense Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers of Wisconsin and Best Lawyers in Madison.
After receiving his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Mr. Rosen was a staff attorney for the Legal Services Center of Dane County. In 1977, he joined Charles Pellino and quickly became one of the nation's most respected defense attorneys.
Mr. Rosen was an investigator for nine years for the Board of Professional Responsibility until being appointed by Chief Justice Shirley Abrahamson of the Wisconsin Supreme Court to be a Special Investigator for the Office of Lawyer Regulation. He was appointed by United States Senator Russell Feingold to be one of his representatives on the Federal Nominating Commission.
Mr. Rosen is also active in the legal community as a lecturer for the State Bar of Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin Law School and the Wisconsin Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
