About Heidi Burch Shafer

Heidi B. Shafer is a native of Lexington, Virginia. Heidi graduated from Virginia Tech in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and a minor in Sociology. Heidi received her Juris Doctorate in May of 2002 from Regent University in Virginia Beach and has been an active member of the Virginia State Bar since October of 2002. She practiced in the areas of Bankruptcy, Domestic and Juvenile Law, Criminal Law and Civil law, in the Hampton Roads area from October of 2002 until March of 2008. Heidi joined the Cox Law Group in March of 2008. Heidi served as membership chairman for the Tidewater Bankruptcy Bar Association in 2006. She is also a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. Heidi has been married to her husband, Rob, since June of 2001, and they have one son, Aidan, born in 2006.
