W. Thomas Berry, Attorney at Law is a law firm with an office in Lovingston, VA. At this office location, there is 1 lawyer practicing criminal law, traffic violations, driving while intoxicated and 9 other areas of law.
Very down to earth, friendly and speaks clearly/simply.
Mr. Berry is cocky and condescending. He wont return calls in a timely manner and his assistant is rude. Once in court he did an average job however.
My family and I have been trying to get an update or at least an explanation for how long this is taking for over a year but Thomas Berry can’t be bothered to return a simple phone call. He is lazy, dishonest, disrespectful and unprofessional.
He is unprofessional, disrespectful, lazy, and dishonest. Hire literally anyone else. My family and I have been trying to get updates on a probate case for over a year and he doesn’t respond to any phone calls. It’s ridiculous.
Can not even get a call back as promised, call several times and then have calls ignored by staff. Will call and not get an answer then call from another number and they answer just to put me off again. Have read this is a common on other review sites rating him. Just need to transfer land after a sale. Very poor communication and no care for client
I was. It a client of Tom Berry's , he was whom was supposed to be the defense atty of 1 of 2 individuals whom I was going against, Not once did he speak at the hearing. The actual defense attorney was Benjamin Beliles but Tom quietly stepped in because of the relationship between the defense attorney BELILES and with the Commonwealth Attorney..so Tom Berry is ok with allowing 2 people to walk free after he and the Commonwealth decided to put the forensic evidence under the table.. p.o.s. in my book
He does not put his client first. He doesn't do what the client wants. I personally know of 8 other people that he has represented that has also told me that he does what he wants without asking the client for permission. When a client gives a lawyer exactly what they need for him to win the case and sign with his golden pen and he still doesn't do what they ask then I consider him a bad lawyer. He talks a good line but in court he will not stand up for his client.
