About Kathryn S. Beck

Kathryn is a Member in Stoll Keenon Ogden’s Louisville office and has been with the firm since 2016. She focuses primarily on Trust & Estate Litigation, but is also part of the Business Litigation, Business Torts, Trust & Estate, and Tort, Trial & Insurance Services practice groups.

Working with large corporate clients and locally owned businesses in Kentucky and Indiana, Kathryn has handled complex litigation matters at the trial court and appellate levels. She has defended corporate and individual fiduciaries in disputes with beneficiaries, and she has represented beneficiaries in disputes over probate and non-probate assets. Kathryn’s understanding of various estate planning strategies and the estate administration process benefits her trust and estate litigation practice. Before joining SKO, Kathryn was a general litigation associate at a regional Indiana law firm and successfully represented a contractor in a subrogation dispute before the Seventh Circuit.

After graduating with honors from the University of Georgia, Kathryn earned her J.D. at the University of Kentucky College of Law, where she served as president of the Health Law Society.

Trust & Estate Litigation: Kathryn counsels clients on will contests, reformation suits and a variety of other challenges associated with family and trust assets.

Business Litigation: Kathryn has experience representing companies across a broad range of conflicts, from claims of product liability to lawsuits over commercial transactions.

Business Torts: Along with general business litigation, Kathryn helps clients navigate all types of tort issues, such as actions involving breach of fiduciary duty. She provides a vigorous defense in the courtroom and gives thoughtful attention to every detail in legal documents.

Trust & Estates: Along with trust & estate litigation, Kathryn works with businesses and families throughout every phase of planning and administration. She helps counsel clients with assets ranging from modest to millions, and represents executors and beneficiaries during the estate administration process.

Tort, Trial & Insurance Services: Keeping in close communication with the client, Kathryn provides effective representation through all stages of the litigation process, with an emphasis on complex cases and trials.
