I was represented by Mr. Smith's firm on a Federal matter from 4/10-9/12. The firm's billing is fraudulent and excessive. Mr. Smith was more concerned with the financial outcome of his fees rather than a very aggressive representation. I would not recommend him as a defense attorney for civil matters. He is a weak attorney and does not posses the tough skills necessary to go after the big dogs. He delayed a settlement for over 12 months to inflate his extortionist type fees. Some fees were for services never rendered and others were for things denied by the client.
