About Ronald W. Makarem

Ron Makarem is the founder of Makarem & Associates, a top law firm located in Los Angeles, California. Ron has been practicing law since 1995 and has obtained multi-million dollar settlements and judgments for consumer clients across the State. In 2012, Ron received the distinguished CLAY award for "Attorney of the Year" by California Lawyer Magazine for his work on a landmark California Supreme Court case. He was selected by Super Lawyer's magazine as a "Super Lawyer" in 2011 and 2012, and a "Rising Star" in 2010. Ron attended the University of Southern California and graduated with honors in 1992 with a degree in Political Science, cum laude. Ron then attended Pepperdine University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1995. In 2001, at the young age of 30, he became a partner at the law firm of Ruben & Jones, later Ruben & Makarem, before starting Makarem & Associates in 2004. Throughout his entire legal career, he has dedicated his practice to litigating on behalf of the consumer and strives to maintain the public's respect for the legal profession. Ron is certified by the California State Bar as a Legal Malpractice Specialist, and also holds a Real Estate Broker's License. A native to Los Angeles, he coaches his daughter's soccer team during his free time.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
