Marie Dominique Carrera is a senior associate attorney whose practice concentrates on civil litigation and commercial disputes. She advises and represents clients at all stages of litigation, from pre-litigation counseling through trial, with particular experience in drafting pleadings, motion practice, discovery, and case strategy. Dominique applies rigorous legal research to evaluate the merits of claims and develop effective litigation strategies, while keeping clients closely informed of case developments and risk assessments.Dominique’s litigation practice is further informed by her extensive background in the financial services industry. Prior to entering private practice, she spent several years at a leading national broker-dealer, where she held roles of increasing responsibility across operational, legal, and regulatory functions. As a founding member of the firm’s Regulatory Operations Department, Dominique helped design and implement compliance frameworks for SEC and FINRA reporting requirements, including Bluesheets, Short Interest, and Large Trader reporting. Her work identifying regulatory risks and strengthening internal controls helped mitigate significant financial exposure. Earlier in her tenure, Dominique served in settlement operations, where she played an integral role in high-value initiatives involving ETF baskets and securities lending.Dominique earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law and was admitted to the California Bar in 2022.
