I hired Kia to draft an agreement for my entertainment client. However, Kia passed the task to an assistant attorney who consistently delayed the revisions for over three months, despite assurances of timely completion. Despite urgent follow-ups, the revisions were never made, resulting in the deal falling through. On December 20, 2021, Kia requested payment, despite knowing the circumstances. I refused payment. Almost a year later, on August 30, 2022, Kia filed a complaint in small claims court. The assistant attorney admitted to negligence and apologized. Given these circumstances, it is inappropriate for Kia to demand payment and pursue a judgment. Based on my experience, I do not recommend working with Kia. I've paid Kia approximately $10k before, but treating an existing client this way shows terrible character. Avoid engaging with him.
