James K. Paulick counsels small, medium and large businesses in all matters involving Data Privacy and Cybersecurity. Because James has an extensive technical background, he can bridge the common gap between law and technology which is ever-present in the rapidly developing area of Data Protection and Privacy. James advises many different clients on their Data Privacy initiatives including, but not limited to: Drafting Privacy Notices/Policies, Data Processing Agreements, and other vendor due diligence documentation. James Paulick is a Certified Information Privacy Professional in the U.S. (CIPP/US), accredited by the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
Additionally, James has experience on the litigation side of Data Privacy including, but not limited to: handling data breach situations as well as defending TCPA class action lawsuits.
Prior to practicing law, James worked for 15 years in Information Technology that included LAN/WAN network design and implementation, cyber security, eDiscovery, and performance troubleshooting of large-scale multitier enterprise applications.
James is also an experienced trial attorney and is highly-skilled in developing cases from initial client interview to jury verdict with successful results in serious state and federal criminal defense. He is also well-versed in civil litigation areas of practice such as personal injury, estate litigation, consumer protection, data privacy and civil rights.
