She also represents video game companies and independent motion picture production companies.Ms. Cuddy specializes in copyright matters, and frequently represents copyright owners with respect to the exploitation of their literary material. She also reviews chains-of-title to assist clients in the evaluation of the rights for theatrical remakes and sequels. She is counsel to George R.R. Martin, whose novels have been transformed into one of the most popular shows on HBO (“Game of Thrones”). She is also counsel to Anne Rice (“Interview with the Vampire”), and Nick Schou, whose book “Kill the Messenger” was recently made into a motion picture starring Jeremy Renner. Ms. Cuddy also frequently handles matters related to the Writers Guild of America Agreement. She is counsel to Peter Barsocchini, and negotiated the deal with Disney for the sale of his separated rights to “High School Musical,” one of the most successful television movies of all time.Ms. Cuddy, a Martindale Hubbell “AV Preeminent” attorney and Southern California Super Lawyer (2010-2017), graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
