Alex Linhardt is a member of the Litigation Practice in Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office, where he focuses on commercial litigation and high-stakes business disputes. Alex has significant experience representing companies in class actions and complex commercial disputes, including unfair competition, false advertising, and other consumer protection claims. He also represents companies in financial and securities litigation, including securities fraud, shareholder derivative actions, partnership disputes, and other business torts. He regularly represents Fortune 500 and global companies across a variety of industries including technology, financial services, automotive, retail, consumer products and more. In addition to his litigation practice, Alex is a co-host of Greenberg Traurig’s California Unfair Competition Defense Podcast.
Alex received his law degree from the University of Southern California, where he completed judicial externships with the Hon. Milan D. Smith, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Hon. George H. Wu of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He was also a law clerk for the Complex and Special Litigation Division of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Before entering private practice, Alex worked in the Legal Division of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, writing research memoranda and drafting proposed judgments for special judicial panels. Prior to law school, Alex taught at Harvard University, where he received a doctorate in English Language and Literature.
