Darby Hoggatt is the owner and managing attorney of Hoggatt Law Office, P.C., where he has spent more than 30 years fighting for injured people in northern Colorado. Since opening the firm in Fort Collins in 2002, he has built a practice centered on personal attention, aggressive advocacy, and practical results for people facing the aftermath of serious accidents and workplace injuries. Darby handles personal injury and workers’ compensation matters, including car, truck, and motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims, and complex on-the-job injury cases. He believes every client deserves clear communication, efficient handling of their case, and a legal team that treats them like family rather than a file number.
A Wyoming native, Darby earned both his B.S. in Finance and his J.D. from the University of Wyoming before passing the Colorado and Wyoming bar exams in 1995 and the South Dakota bar exam in 1996. He began his legal career in general practice before focusing on workers’ compensation, personal injury, auto accident, and disability matters in Fort Collins in 1999. Today, he leads a carefully chosen team of attorneys and paralegals dedicated to helping clients secure strong medical care and the compensation they need to move forward. Darby is a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, the Workers' Compensation Education Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Larimer County Bar Association. He has been recognized as an Elite Lawyer since 2018 and has also earned honors including Lead Counsel Verified, the Martindale-Hubbell Client Champion Award – Platinum Distinction, and selection to The National Trial Lawyers Top 100.
