Elizabeth Kim joined Lanzone Morgan, LLP as a law clerk in August 2022 and became an attorney for the firm in November of the same year. Raised with three younger brothers in a close-knit family, Elizabeth learned the importance of being a voice for the voiceless from an early age. After her younger brother was diagnosed with cancer, she became painfully aware of the corporate greed that pervades our healthcare system. This experience ignited her passion for advocating for those in need, particularly vulnerable populations like the elderly.
After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2018 with a B.A. in political science, she attended Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law on a merit scholarship. While in law school, Elizabeth earned the 2022 Frank Simpson III Scholarship for Excellence in Advocacy, thanks to her success on the Mock Trial, Moot Court, and Alternative Dispute Resolution teams. She also served as the Competitions Chair for both the Moot Court Board and the Mock Trial Team and earned CALI Awards for achieving the highest grades in Evidence, Trial Practice, and Contract Drafting.
In addition to her work at Lanzone Morgan, LLP, Elizabeth actively volunteers with Chapman’s law school competition teams and coaches aspiring lawyers. Elizabeth was motivated to volunteer after the sudden passing of her mentor and favorite professor. She hopes to continue her professor’s legacy of passionate advocacy and integrity. Recognized for her dedication and accomplishments, Elizabeth has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and featured in the Top 100 Verdicts in Los Angeles County in 2023, Top 100 Personal Injury Verdicts in California in 2024, Top 50 Personal Injury Verdicts in Los Angeles in 2024, Top 50 Verdicts in Los Angeles in 2024, and the Number 1 Elder Abuse Verdict in both California and Los Angeles County in 2024. In 2025, she was also recognized for achieving one of the Top 100 Verdicts in California.
