She works hard for her client on so many levels. She is very knowledgeable and she knows what she’s doing!!! She took on my custody case and prevailed! She is accurate and communicates well anytime I had a question. She was very timely with getting back to me and giving me the answers that I had questions for.
If I could give less than one star I would. She has very poor communication, she went against the counselor notes and assessments without even speaking to the counselor, she never spoke to teachers as she said she would. She didn't speak with witnesses or have genuine meeting and observations with the child. She made recommendations that were obviously biased. She cancelled an appointment saying she wasn't paid, had to reschedule after proof was provided that she was in fact paid. Then she cancelled meeting after meeting and got a continuance for court, dragging it out far longer than it should have been. She only made minimal effort to do the job she was paid to do right before court. I ultimately hired an attorney because Sonya Drake proved that she had zero concern for the welfare of a child. I resent the court for trusting her as a guardian and failing to remove her from the case.
If you're a father and you've gotten an attorney and this GAL is brought up. Have her removed immediately. She will do nothing for the best interest of the child or in my case children. Everything and anything will be used against you in the 1 and only visit she shows up to. Then the next case she regurgitates the same BS to keep my sons away from me even longer. Being worried about my 5 year old son drowning was a back handed comment towards the mother in her eyes. She's is a terrible human being and needs to find a new profession!
Terrible GAL Attorney! Does not have the best interest of the child and is one sided. Says it’s OK for though mother to smoke pot.
