Al has over 20 years experience in civil litigation. He has extensive experience in business disputes, including contractual claims, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, leasing disputes, lender liability and other commercial matters. He also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of personal injury actions. Al has substantial trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Kentucky.
Additionally, Al counsels businesses on employment issues, transactions and operations. His clients include many prominent Central Kentucky businesses and local operations of national organizations.
Upon graduation from Transylvania University (B.A., cum laude, 1980), Al served as a lobbyist for the Kentucky Retail Federation. In 1985, he graduated in the top 5% of his class from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He was elected to the Order of the Coif and the Kentucky Law Journal. Al began his legal career with Stoll, Keenon & Park, LLP, Lexington's largest firm. He established his own practice in 1992. Al has served on several professional and civil boards and was the race chair for the Lexington affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for both 2006 and 2007.
